About Will Korner

Will Korner is a consultant specialising in the international art market and cultural heritage sector.

His experience spans commercial art businesses, nonprofit organisations and international cultural institutions. Most recently, he served as Head of Fairs at TEFAF (The European Fine Art Foundation), where he was responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of TEFAF Maastricht and TEFAF New York, working closely with galleries, collectors, museums, and international partners.

Central to and alongside his work at TEFAF, Will has played a leading role in initiatives that strengthen collaboration between the art market and the wider cultural sector. These include developing international partnerships, establishing the TEFAF Summit, expanding museum engagement programmes and contributing to research demonstrating the wider economic and social impact of culture.

He is also a founding board member of CHARD (The Cultural Heritage At Risk Database Foundation), a Dutch nonprofit organisation dedicated to protecting cultural heritage through international collaboration, due diligence and market-based solutions. Through CHARD, he works with governments, museums, UNESCO and other international organisations on projects relating to cultural property protection, provenance and illicit trafficking.

An International Perspective

Throughout his career, Will has worked with clients and partners across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, bringing together commercial understanding with public sector priorities.

Through work with UNESCO, the European Commission, parliamentary advisory groups, trade associations and international working groups, Will has contributed to the development of policy and best practice across the international art market and cultural heritage sector. This experience provides clients not only with strategic advice, but also with an understanding of the wider regulatory landscape and access to an extensive international network of institutional and industry partners.

His work is founded on the belief that the greatest opportunities for the cultural sector lie in stronger collaboration between businesses, governments and cultural institutions, and in demonstrating the broader value that art and culture create for society.

Realising an ambitious vision requires more than strategy alone. It requires the right partnerships, the right expertise and the ability to turn ideas into action. Korner Consulting helps clients bring these together to build stronger organisations and initiatives with lasting impact.
