Korner Consulting, Cultural Strategy & Art Market Consultant, Amsterdam / London. Expanding previous strategy, art market consultancy roles since 2023.
The Cultural Heritage At Risk Database (CHARD Foundation), Founder and Chair. A non-profit foundation in the Netherlands with cultural ANBI status, working since 2015 to protect the world’s cultural heritage and in particular moveable objects at risk in conflict and crisis zones. CHARD maintains a database registering objects held in museums, warehouses and sites in conflict zones, so that they can be detected and located if they later surface on the art market or in law enforcement investigations.
TEFAF, Head of Fairs, (2022-26). Responsible for operations, strategy and business development across TEFAF Maastricht and TEFAF New York, with full ownership of the fair lifecycle including multi-million budget oversight, pricing strategy, legal matters and new business. Principal point of contact for more than 400 international exhibitors, senior spokesperson to the international press, and adviser to the TEFAF Boards on strategy. Established or expanded TEFAF Focus, the TEFAF Summit, the Curator Course, TEFAF Online and the TEFAF Deloitte Economic Impact Report, oversaw the fairs’ vetting process, and led them through the disruption of COVID-19.

UNESCO International Code of Ethics for Traders in Cultural Property. Member of the working group revising the Code and promoting awareness internationally. Preceded by the UNESCO seminar on the updated Code, Paris, June 2024.
Responsible Art Market, Antiquities Due Diligence Toolkit. Lead author of the RAM working group’s due diligence standard for antiquities transactions, now in use across the trade (2023-24).
UNESCO Arts & Education workshop, contribution and promotion for establishing a new framework on Arts & Education (2023).
Cultural property regulation and standards at UNESCO and EU level, and nationally in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and in the Gulf, covering benchmarking, introduction and implementation.
Regulation and market advocacy
EU Regulation 2019/880 on the import of cultural goods (2024-ongoing). Sustained work on improvement and implementation of the import licensing regulation, including the CINOA and trade associations working group and licensing discussions with the Dutch Heritage Inspectorate and Customs (2024-2025).
United States tariffs on artworks (2025). Submission to the European Commission seeking the exclusion of artworks from proposed tariffs, developed with CINOA.
Netherlands VAT margin scheme (2024). Sector and ministry engagement, including meetings with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, its Director General and the Inspectorate.
CINOA - AGM and Advocacy Group roundtable participation; led TEFAF’s accession as the first art fair to join CINOA (2024).
