What personal data we collect
We collect personal data only when you submit an inquiry through our contact form: your name, email address, organisation (if provided), and the content of your message.
When you visit our website, certain technical data may be collected automatically (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) via Squarespace's built-in analytics. This is covered in more detail in our Cookie Policy.
We do not operate a mailing list, and we do not collect personal data for marketing purposes. We do not knowingly collect any special categories of personal data (such as health, religious belief, or political opinion data) through this website.
How we use your personal data
We use the personal data we collect to respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form, communicate with current or prospective clients about our consulting services, understand in aggregate how visitors use our website so we can improve it, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Legal basis for processing
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on legitimate interests for responding to your inquiries and communicating with you about our services, consent for non-essential cookies and analytics (see our Cookie Policy), and legal obligation where we need to retain records for accounting or tax purposes.
Who we share your data with
The only third party that processes personal data on our behalf is Squarespace, Inc., which hosts this website and processes contact form submissions as our data processor. We do not sell or share your personal data with any other third party.
International data transfers
Squarespace may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Squarespace relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and other approved safeguards to protect data transferred in this way.
How long we keep your data
We retain contact form submissions for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward in case of follow-up, and no longer than 24 months, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, Dutch accounting and tax record-keeping obligations, which can require retaining financial records for up to 7 years).
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure of your data, restrict or object to our processing of your data, request a copy of your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@kornerconsulting.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including relying on Squarespace's platform-level security measures.
Children's privacy
Our website and services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
